about a bog who fell asleep

bog's all wrapped up in sheets
and chains tied down
to shivering minds
snakes shift between the silken
sheets and ask him to lie again
with dogs and man and auto-cars
but bog lays with open eyes
all wrapped up
in silken sheets and magician chains

orphans weep like the world does
and bury bog beneath their bibles
and a sea of cherub's
tears
and lock the gates to anything
